Location Reveal

Well, the cat is out of the bag, so we thought we would chime in.  We have signed a lease with the Sustainable Business Center!  We are very excited.  For us, this is not just a location, this is a partnership.

For those who don't know, the Sustainable Business Center is a business incubator located in Galesburg, Illinois. The incubator is designed for entrepreneurs and businesses that embrace environmental sustainability and responsibility through innovation and practice.

The Sustainable Business Center operates under the values of people, planet, and profit.  For us, and the SBC, people, the planet, and profit are all equally important to the development of a healthy community.

With our values and commitment to local, social, community, and economic development, we believe this partnership with the SBC is a natural fit.

Now to answer some recent questions:

When are we opening?  That's a great question.  We aren't sure, what we know is that we will NOT be opening on April 2nd.  Our goal is to begin distribution by mid-summer, hoping for an end of summer to early fall tap-room launch.

EnSeason had a difficult time building a customer base, what makes you different?  Beer.  Seriously, throughout the US, breweries, distilleries, and wineries are famous for breaking typical traffic patterns.  We believe in the new ethics of craft beer and we believe in the citizens of Knox County.  Let's do this!

Can Knox County handle another brewery?  Can you eat another meal?  Yes! Look, folks, if states like Wyoming can support one brewery for every 24,000 people, and cities like Bend, Oregon, can support one brewery for every 4,000 citizens, then Knox County hasn't touched our saturation point.  In fact, if you want to start a brewery, we want to be a resource for you!

Rumor has it you are going to allow guest brewers from the community?  In Austin, we lived by the values of open source and community learning.  We believe the intersection of open source and community learning is where true growth happens.  We love the values of open source, and we be don't believe, especially in this modern age, that anyone is beyond the point of learning.  We know there are some brewers out there that can brew some pretty damn good brews...
